This is a workshop designed for teachers of any subject who would like to become acquainted with the principles of Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction (CBCI).
Participants will develop an understanding of how concept-based instruction enriches inquiry-based contexts, and will develop an appreciation of teaching beyond facts and content. Participants will work with high quality resources specifically designed for this workshop, and will develop and/or consolidate skills on planning and teaching lessons for a conceptual-inquiry based environment. Participants will also explore relevant aspects of assessment and curriculum design.
This workshop is a great professional development opportunity for teachers who would like to work at international schools in the International Baccalaureate (IB). The workshop is delivered in English.
